Thankful Thursday- Booty Edition

Today I am thankful for my little sister, Booty.

There are very few people in my life (like 3) that I can be completely real with. I mean, no holds barred, straight to the point, sorry if I hurt your feeling but they love you unconditionally anyway REAL. One of those 3 is Booty.

I was lucky enough to have Booty's mom marry my dad when we were very young and although we are not "blood" sisters and our parents are no longer together, there is a sisterly bond between Booty and I that is impenetrable. Her and I are basically the same person. We share
a lot of the same view and beliefs, although she is not a UGA fan, which I find hard to forgive her for at times! :)

This year Booty graduated with her degree in Physics (I know, total nerd!) and is now working on her Masters. Only problem.... she is in Tennessee working on her Masters! Everyday I miss her more and more and if I do not take a trip to see her soon, I am pretty sure I am going to lose it!

Booty,

Thank you for being my unconditional rock. You are stronger than any person I know! I have been blessed to have you as a sister and as a friend. I am so incredibly proud of you! You are kicking that Master program's butt and taking names! Do not ever doubt yourself! I am here for you night or day, but I am sure you know that! I love you so much Booty and miss you more than possible! I am coming to see you soon!

Where we eat, talk, and laugh!

Ok so I am catching up on blogs today :)

I have had several people ask me to see the new house. I am going to take it day by day and room by room.

I am going to start with our Dining Room.

This is the view of our dining room from the living room. I obviously still need curtains and we really want to get a new dining room table. Something darker to match the rest of the house.

We also want to get a different shelf in time. I really like this one.
This is a picture of my dining room table. This is also one of my favorite spots in the house. I love the rich colors and the Italian flair of my center piece.

I love love LOVE the center piece on my dining room table. The two center items are my oilo and aceto (Oil and Vinegar) set my mother-in-law brought us back from Italia. As long as I have been married to The Dad, I have heard about the MIL's oilo and aceto set that she recieved from Italia and wanted one so bad! Well my MIL went to Italia earlier this year and brought me one back and I LOVE IT! I also really enjoy the crystal grapes!

This is the shelf currently in the D.R. If you notice on the picture frame there is a "W", you will see that as a running theme through out our home.

This about it for the dining room.

I am really big on eating as a family each evening. I remember growing up that our family sat down every night and ate together. I love the family feel of supper time!

Tomorrow, I will be showing off our kitchen!

Mummy Fingers

Doodle and I decided to get in the spirit of Halloweenie tonight and made "Mummy Fingers" for dinner. I make these year round for him but due to the fact that October starts this week, we named them!

These are SUPER easy to make and fun! Great for a mom on the go like me!

Ingredients:

1 Roll Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
1 Pack Oscar Meyer Bun Length Hotdogs
1 pack shredded cheese (optional)

Step 1:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Unroll the crescent rolls on counter. Push together seams to make large sheet. Cut in rows 1" to 1.5" Wide (Makes about 8)

Step 2:

Add shredded cheese on top of stripe of crescent roll. This is the optional part, The Dad and Doodle are not big cheese fans but I can't get enough! I make theirs without and mine with!

Step 3:
Roll the dogs!! I just wrap em' up and let a little show on the ends!

Step 4:
Bake for approx. 16 to 18 minutes or until crescent is lightly brown on top.

Step 5:
ENJOY! If you want to make an even creepier treat add ketchup as blood. (Not that it would happen in this house with my irrational fear of ketchup, but that is another story all together!)

I have also add toothpicks for legs so they are caterpillars too!

Hope you and your little ones enjoy!

Take me out to the Ball Game!

Last night Doodle's first t-ball game was canceled due to rain (certainly not complaining because we needed the rain here in Golf Town, GA) so tonight we went to see my nephew No No play ball. No No plays for the same coach that coaches Doodle but for his older team. It was nice and cool out since it FINALLY feels like fall plus I got to spend some time with my sister, which I have really been enjoying lately! Like I said before our lives are both very busy so it is nice to be able to get together and support the kids at the same time!

This is my sister, Wheezy (she hates that nickname) and my sweet baby nephew Kai! He was not a happy camper. He got his first round of shots today! My poor baby!

The Dad and Doodle cheering on No No!

Doodle and Sassy Jones. Sassy Jones is the nickname we gave my niece when she was little because, well she is saaaassy! It actually started as Sassy Jo Jo but changed to her current stage name of Sassy Jones :)

See what I mean?? SASSY :)
PS. She totally got the love of big sunglasses from her Aunt Whoop Whoop, which she named me at age 2!

The t-baller watching the machine pitch boys!!! B has a brother on the same team as No No!

Batter Up!!

Go NO NO!!!

Astros won!!!! 9 - 0! GO ASTROS!!

Our MVP of the night and his biggest fan! Doodle absolutely adores No No! He thinks his big cousin is the coolest and I think I agree! Good Job No No!!

(I love how Doodle poses? Can you tell his mom has taken a million pictures of him :) )

Couldn't have asked for better night! America's favorite past time, cool fall weather, and family!

Hope you all enjoyed your Tuesday night too!

Weekend Wrap Up...

So this weekend I was the epitome of boring and I LOVED IT! My life as a general rule is very hectic; weekends included.

Friday night Dood and I just sat home and watched movies. It was nice just to slow down with him every now and then. He is growing up soooo fast and we are ALWAYS on the go. I really enjoyed just being with him. He is so sweet!

Saturday, I cleaned the house. BTW my house is ridiculously dusty. I mean I dust and the next day it is back.... RIDICULOUS! Saturday afternoon, we went to pick up Doodle's t-ball uniform and watch my nephew No No practice. Doods loves to watch the "big" boys play baseball. After the practice my sister, her husband, Doodle and I went out to eat, the back to their house to watch the GA Game (and some prime snuggling time with my 2 month old nephew, Kai).

Speaking of that game... we lost, which sucks BUT what really really really pisses me off is the UGA fans out there. We have lost 3 games and they are ready to turn in their jerseys. They say the most negative stuff and it straight up PISSES ME OFF. I hate negativity, especially against my Dawgs!

Sunday, I finished up the mounds of laundry I had to do. (BTW I will NEVER know hoe 3 people make so much laundry!) and went to lunch at Nanny's. It was delicious of course!

That was about it. I was a lazy bum and didn't take any pictures! We have our first t ball game tonight, so pictures to come soon!

papa papa parazzi...

Luckily today has been pretty low key!

I finally got to go to lunch with my big sister, Weezy, and her sweet sweet baby boy, Kai, oh and her Hubs was there too :) It was really nice to catch up with her. We are both very busy. She has 3 very active kids and a 2 month old and well I have Doodle, that is about as busy as 5 kids! We were inseparable when we were younger and I miss getting to hang out with her, so it was really nice just to take a long lunch and talk.

After work tonight, the hubs threw some steaks on the grill and now we are just chilling chilling.

So since I am a little boring,I will leave you with some pictures from my photographer in training! I recently gave Doodle my old digital camera and these are some of his handy work!

His balloon animal monkey.

His monkey toy from the treasure box at school.

The laundry Mom needs to do... Thanks for the reminder buddy :)

His Pillow Pet!

and his favorite... The Dad! In which he instructed, "Make a face like me Dad!"

Happy Friday Everyone!

Thankful Thursday

Today I am thankful for my best friend and sis-in-law, STI!!!

Today is her 20th birthday and I couldn't be more proud of the woman that she is growing into!

I first met Sti when she was in eighth grade and her brother and I started dating. I have had the pleasure of watching her go through all the teenage highs and lows and I can not wait to see here move through her twenties and turn into the woman I know she will be!

Last night we took Sti out for her birthday dinner to Applebees and had a ball, even if it was NOT Ryans :)

Sti's birthday balloon hat... Heeeeeey Balloon Guy!!

To my BFF Jill- When I met your brother, I had no idea that I would be blessed with another sister and more importantly, a best friend. I am pretty sure that NO ONE in the world understands me the way you do nor does anyone try. Two of a kind. You are growing into such a wonderful woman. I am proud of you Sti and love you very very much! Have a wonderful birthday! Here's to finding balloon boy!

Love your big sister,
