MVP of the world

Ok so maybe I am a BIT partial to the player :)

Right not dood is playing both soccer and t ball.

He only has 2 more games in soccer this Thursday and Next Thursday.

This is his first time playing recreation soccer. He was a bit timid a first but has really gotten into it lately. He is always sure to ask me after the game, "Was I degressive (aggressive) mom?"

The Next David Beckham

These are pictures from his game on Monday. He is #2.

I am in LOVE with this picture of Doodle and The Dad!

On Tuesday we had t-ball practice. This is Doodle's third time playing with this group of guys! They are moving up to t-ball from wee ball this season and they are super stoked. I really enjoy t-ball time bc I have developed friendships with a lot of the moms.

We are super proud of our little MVP! We are truly lucky to have such a special little guy!

Its that time!!

First of all, I am LOVING my hubs! Through thick and thin he still loves me... even when I do not deserve it!

I am loving that it is T-ball time again! Doodle has the most awesome t-ball coach and I really enjoy the parents on his t-ball team. Don't get me wrong, he enjoyed soccer but I enjoy t-ball time!

Don't worry, the sports blog I promised is coming!!

I am loving that as of Sunday the highs here in Golf Town are going to be mid-eighties with the lows in the mid-fifties!!! YAY! I am damn determined to wear a scarf by the first week in October. I am LOVING this cute GAP scarf!

I am REALLY loving that I get to have dinner with my best friend (and The Dad's little sister), Sti tonight for her birthday! She is turning the big 2-0. Not a teenager anymore! I LOVE THIS GIRL!!!!

Also, I am loving this quote... In the light of what happened yesterday it just wraps it up.

Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at
least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we
didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us
all be thankful. ~Buddha

Lastly, I am still LOVING these Coach rainboots! The Dad did see my last "What I'm Loving" and said "maybe". I'LL TAKE IT!

That's what I am loving this week! What are you loving?

Prospective...

Wow... That is all my mind keeps saying over and over again.

I am so quick to complain about my husband not doing the dishes or helping with our son. I am so quick to get angry at him when he is tuned into a video game and ignores me when I am talking to him. I am so quick to question his love for me when he does not say it enough or is not romantic enough but ALL of that was put into prospective for me today.

My friend, Mrs. West Palm, found out last night that her husband, who is deployed in Afghanistan was injured in the line of duty and has lost both of his legs below the knee. They have flown him to Germany where he is in stable condition and in good spirits.

Mrs. Palm Beach and I worked together in The Hill and quickly became good friends. She was always one of the strongest people I knew but not even then did I realize how truly inspirational she is. In the light of what had happened to Mr. Palm Beach, she is still wanting to comfort others and keep us all posted, all while caring for their 6 month old baby boy. I would be a basket case.

With The Dad being a firefighter, there is always that element of danger I guess I choose to ignore. I ignore it because that is how I get through every third day alone and not worry my head off.

All of that was said to say this: Mrs. Palm Beach in the face of tragedy has shown me that the small things that I think are so trivial about The Dad are exactly the opposite. That every third day my husband goes to work and into danger but it is up to me to be strong and realize the fact that he does work and he is here with me should make me grateful for him and all that he does do.

I love you so much honey.

To Mrs. Palm Beach...

Once again, you have inspired me. You and Mr. Palm Beach are in everyone of my thoughts today. I am so sorry that this happened to you and your family. If you ever do not feel like being strong... I will be here to lift you up. We love you guys!

Mr. and Mrs. Palm Beach

To those reading this blog, please send up a though, prayer, whatever it is you do for the West Palm family today.

Weekend Wrap-Up

Hold on... it's a long one!

So this weekend, like most weekends, was very busy for the Dreamin' family!

Friday night was pretty low key with the Dad at the firehouse it was mom/doodle time! Doodle and I built a fort in the living room and watched movies. We watched (one of my all time favorites) Wall-E and Monsters Inc. Of course Doodle, feel asleep before the 2nd movie even started but I can use him as an excuse... right??

Then came Saturday... ok, I have to admit something right here and now. I AM A RIDICULOUSLY RIDICULOUS GEORGIA BULLDOGS FAN! Every Saturday in the Fall is completely dedicated to my Dawgs! I love, no I mean I REALLY love college football. I grew up a GA fan and bleed red and black. Unfortunately, some years ago I feel in love with a Florida Gators fan (GASP!) and was somehow blinded by love enough to marry him :) Now there is an all out war at our house each Saturday from September to January!

With all that being said, my Dawgs played the Arkansas Razorbacks this weekend and almost came back to win in the fourth quarter! I have faith in our young team and our red shirt freshman quarterback! Hoping for better luck next week against Mississippi State. Unfortunately, I was kind of too wrapped up in the game to get pictures but I will add one of me and the bro-in-law from the GA vs FL game last year!

After all the GA football fun, Doodle had t- ball practice. He is getting much much better at catching! These guys are so cute! and again I suck bc I left my camera at work so did not take the first picture. He has another practice on Tuesday so I will be sure to get some pictures then!

Later that night we attended an engagement party for our friends SH & TP. SH's little Smiley has played t-ball with Doodle for 3 seasons now! They were really our first friends we made when we moved back to Golf Town. They are really sweet and I am soooo excited that they are FINALLY getting married!! :)

The Bride and Me

The Groom and The Dad... so handsome!

Sunday was pretty productive! I have recently started clipping coupons and trying to do the whole super saver thing! So on Sunday, I got my paper and clipped my coupons and made my grocery list! It was actually quite long because we had not been grocery shopping in like a month and we had NOTHING to eat.

Before our grocery shopping extravaganza we went to The Nanny's house for Sunday dinner. For as long as I remember, my family has been getting together for Sunday dinner (2 pm here in the south)! So we headed over for some homemade beef stew and to check out her new ride! To say I love this woman with my entire heart would be the understatement of the year.. in fact, the century.

Doodle with his Nanny

Nanny posing "Sassy" with her new car!! She cracks me up!!!

So after our tummies were very very full from the stew and buttermilk biscuits, we headed to the mall to look for jeans (NO LUCK!) but did end up with two GAP thermals for Doodle for $14.00, which by the way is a hell of a deal!!!

Lastly, we went grocery shopping...ehhh. I swear when The Dad and I go grocery shopping we try to buy the whole store! ha ha At least I saved us some money honey on this trip.

Our total was $304.50 and after coupons it was $274.00 so I saved $30.00 which pretty much bought the Mario halloween costume Doodle just HAD to have!!

We have a soccer game tonight so I will make sure to get LOTS of pictures of our little Beckham!

Hope you all had great weekends!!!

Hey Lard Butt!

Yeah... I am talking to me!

2 years ago, I got down to my goal weight of 125lbs.

I looked great! Felt Great! and low and behold, I moved to Augusta and got FAT again! BOO!

Well I am tired of it! I have thousands of dollars worth of clothes just sitting in my big beautiful closet just mocking my fat ass to work out.

Last week a friend told me about a program called couch to 5k.

I read over it and it seems totally doable! It is only 3 days a week for 30 minutes.

I am going to start Monday and I am going to substitute some of my favorite P90x workouts in between.

I have done some positive things for my self lately (like quitting smoking, cold turkey for one!) and want to follow that by getting fit!

I have added some of my skinny pictures for motivation!!!

There they are! My THINspiration!

Wish me luck!

OH! Look out for the "house debut" post tomorrow!!

Thankful Thursday

Today (as well as every other day of my life) I am thankful for my Husband.

My Best Friend

(Can anyone say get a black strapless bra???)

The only one that can make me smile, when I feel like crying.

The one that I love to kiss.

The one Doodle is lucky enough to call Dad.

And the one that I am lucky enough to spend the rest of my life with!!!

I am a very very lucky lady! Don't get me wrong there are times when I would love to punch him right in the eye but there is not one moment that I doubt wanting to be with him forever. We have done the whole doubting our love thing and it has proven over and over that we were meant to be together... regardless of how much I drive him crazy and he makes me want to be violent.
I love you honey!!!

I believe in a thing called love
Just listen to the rhythm of my heart
There's a chance we could make it now
We'll be rocking 'til the sun goes down
I believe in a thing called love
Ooh!

Saw This... Love it.

Photobucket

I saw this on a friend's blog and thought it would be fun!

Today I am loving:

Doodle having his first "hat day" at school and the whole dollar we had to pay goes to the MCG Children's hospital.

That my graphic designer fixed our server computer at work today so we can actually get something done!!! This is what I came into at work this morning...

so NOT loving the blue screen of death!

That the dads said that everyone at the FD loved loved loved my cupcakes yesterday!

That Fall is just around the corner! It is so much cooler in the mornings! I also LOVE fall colors. I think it may be time to decorate the house!!

AND I AM LOVING LOVING LOVING LOVING THESE BOOTS.
I am begging the dad for them for Christmas so I think I will be "loving" these every Wednesday until he gets the point and gets them for me!

They are Coach, they are Zebra, and THEY ARE PERFECTION.

This is what I am loving today. What are you loving?
