Thankful Thursday.... on Friday

This thankful Thursday is simple...

I am thankful that I have a man that stands beside me even when I fall and I am thankful that I have a son that tells me I am the best Mom in the whole, even when I do not feel like it.

I am lucky and blessed and for that I am thankful!

What I'm Loving Wednesday... on Friday

Yes, I obviously know it is Friday not Wednesday. NO, I will never fall behind in blogging again! Whew!

Other than that, I am dedicating my What I'm loving today to the Fall fashion trends I LOVE!

HATS!!I want a fedora sooo stinkin' bad! Hats are big, I mean REALLY big this fall and I this is one trend I will definitely take part in!

BIG JEWELRY! Anyone that knows me already knows I am all about some BIG jewelry, luckily I will not be the only one with the huge necklaces this Fall.

GOLD!!Can I please tell you how excited I am that yellow gold is making a come back this Fall! I love yellow gold, maybe because everyone in my generation has been all about the silver, white gold, and platinum... NOT THIS GIRL! I love how classic yellow gold is and I LOVE to pair it with brown! It is a great combination!

WHITE (after Labor Day...gasp!)
Ok ignore the other three looks that no one in the real world would EVER wear and focus on the WHITE... AFTER LABOR DAY! I love winter white and it is coming in strong this fall! I have a pair of white pumps and I am sporting those suckers everywhere this summer!

SHORT BOOTS!THANK GOD! Coming from a girl who cheered and tumbled her way through adolescence, short boots are my gift from the fashion gods! I have HUGE calf muscles and can not wear those thigh high cute boots (with the fur... sorry, had to) that everyone else gets to, so short boots are perfect for me!!!!

Well that is what I am loving today....Friday. What are you loving?

Weekend Wrap-up LATE :)

This weekend was special because Doodle's GiGi and Uncle Video Game came to town. Doodle and his Gi Gi are very close and I am lucky enough to be one of those wives that actually likes her mother in law!

Uncle Video Game and Doodle relaxing!

Friday, We took Doodle to the cardiologist for some test. His heart had been beating a little fast and was uncomfortable for him. The dad's family and mine have a history of heart problems so I wanted to be SUPER sure everything is ok. The Dr. did assure us that everything in his heart looked healthy and sounded good! I can not tell you how relieved it was to hear that. It still makes me cry just thinking that something could hurt my baby. He is such a sweet boy! We have a check up in 6 months!

At the Doctors but I think this picture is so sweet! Doodle and his uncle are only 6 years apart (I know the MIL is crazy) but Doodle absolutely loves him Uncle Video Game! When I was pregnant with Doodle, Uncle Video game used to say, "I am only 6 years old and I'm gonna be an Uncle!!"

Friday night, The MIL and I went shopping. Apparently she did not know that I am a professional shopper, so I wore her out. She actually complained of her arm hurting the next day! Ha Ha I have mad shopping skills! I am a HUGE bargain and consignment shopper. I have very expensive taste BUT I am married to a firefighter sooooo basically I bargain shop! I will post another blog on some of my awesome finds from the weekend!

Saturday, We woke up early to go yard selling. I really like going yard selling with my MIL! We have a lot of fun and laugh a lot! Plus, not many people will wake up at the crack of dawn on a Saturday to go yard selling with me! We found some GREAT stuff too!

Saturday Afternoon, The Dad and I took Doodle to see Disney LIVE! Mickey's rocking road show! We took his bff Smiley with us and they had a blast! It was really fun to watch the light up and have so much fun!

Doodle and Smiley with their Mickey hats!

My sister Kimbo and my Nephew Car Car! The had seats right behind us!

Mickey and Friends!

Ha Ha! Love this picture of them getting down!

Dood's favorite part! Buzz Lightyear, TO THE RESCUE!

After the show the MIL and I made homemade Stromboli and pizza! My MIL in half Italian and half Irish (even though you can not see an ounce of the Irish) and makes AMAZING Italian food! She actually let me in on her secret Lasagna recipe after almost 6 years being married to her son!! :) The food was delicious and I swear I gain 5 lbs every time I around her!

He wanted to use the rolling pin SOOOOO bad!

The Dad showing em' how it is done.

Gi Gi helping Doodle!

Mom was helping with two of her favorite things... Ed Hardy and WINE! :)

Our Pizza Pie!

Bon Appetite!

Sunday was a lazy day! We got up to read the newspaper and relax. Before they left the MIL took Doodle to get a scarecrow for the yard! He has been asking for one and it is sooo cute!

Ha Ha... goober.

After, they left I RELAXED! Just like every other daughter in law/mother in law pair we have our disagreements but there is not one minute that I do not appreciate all that my MIL has done for us and for Doodle. We would not be where we are today without her. Pssh... don't tell anyone but I miss her... a little :)

Another busy BUSY weekend for the Dreamers!

WOW! What a crazy week (In the voice of the Staples man!)

WOW! This week has been CRAZY so I have about a million blogs coming!

My MIL came into town last Thursday night to see Doodle's last soccer game and to go to the cardiologist with me and Dood last Friday. Not to go into too much detail but Doodle's heart has been beating a little too hard and fast and getting uncomfortable but the Dr. assured us that everything looked fine and just to monitor it. So that was VERY relieving!

So as I said before, last Thursday night was Doodle's last soccer game for this season and Dad got to coach! They both had a lot of fun and then we had a little award ceremony after the game. I hate to say it but I am a little relieved that soccer is over. We have t-ball for the rest of the month of October but with the holidays coming up and all I am just glad to be slowing down a bit!

Coach Dad

GO DOODLE!!!

Blocking that kick!

Getting his soccer medal!

Team Mom (ME!) presented the team with trophies! Doodle loved his!

After the game Doodle wanted to go to Ci Ci's Pizza. He was very excited to have his GiGi and Uncle Video Game in town.

It was a great night!

Thankful Thursday- Booty Edition

Today I am thankful for my little sister, Booty.

There are very few people in my life (like 3) that I can be completely real with. I mean, no holds barred, straight to the point, sorry if I hurt your feeling but they love you unconditionally anyway REAL. One of those 3 is Booty.

I was lucky enough to have Booty's mom marry my dad when we were very young and although we are not "blood" sisters and our parents are no longer together, there is a sisterly bond between Booty and I that is impenetrable. Her and I are basically the same person. We share
a lot of the same view and beliefs, although she is not a UGA fan, which I find hard to forgive her for at times! :)

This year Booty graduated with her degree in Physics (I know, total nerd!) and is now working on her Masters. Only problem.... she is in Tennessee working on her Masters! Everyday I miss her more and more and if I do not take a trip to see her soon, I am pretty sure I am going to lose it!

Booty,

Thank you for being my unconditional rock. You are stronger than any person I know! I have been blessed to have you as a sister and as a friend. I am so incredibly proud of you! You are kicking that Master program's butt and taking names! Do not ever doubt yourself! I am here for you night or day, but I am sure you know that! I love you so much Booty and miss you more than possible! I am coming to see you soon!

Where we eat, talk, and laugh!

Ok so I am catching up on blogs today :)

I have had several people ask me to see the new house. I am going to take it day by day and room by room.

I am going to start with our Dining Room.

This is the view of our dining room from the living room. I obviously still need curtains and we really want to get a new dining room table. Something darker to match the rest of the house.

We also want to get a different shelf in time. I really like this one.
This is a picture of my dining room table. This is also one of my favorite spots in the house. I love the rich colors and the Italian flair of my center piece.

I love love LOVE the center piece on my dining room table. The two center items are my oilo and aceto (Oil and Vinegar) set my mother-in-law brought us back from Italia. As long as I have been married to The Dad, I have heard about the MIL's oilo and aceto set that she recieved from Italia and wanted one so bad! Well my MIL went to Italia earlier this year and brought me one back and I LOVE IT! I also really enjoy the crystal grapes!

This is the shelf currently in the D.R. If you notice on the picture frame there is a "W", you will see that as a running theme through out our home.

This about it for the dining room.

I am really big on eating as a family each evening. I remember growing up that our family sat down every night and ate together. I love the family feel of supper time!

Tomorrow, I will be showing off our kitchen!
